Service Description

Barre a low-impact, group fitness class that uses your own body weight to target the muscles in your lower body, core, and upper body. The classes consist of small precise movements that target specific areas of your body, such as the hips, glutes, thighs, and core. The exercises are inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and Pilates. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training (holding your body still while you contract a specific set of muscles) combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. Barre workouts are intensely focused on improving core strength, developing the stabilizing muscles of the shoulder and hip girdles, and enhancing flexibility. They can also help improve alignment and posture. Essentially, these classes focus on strengthening and tightening the hips, glutes, thighs, while improving posture.
